Fancy Dress
New Year's Eve is characterised by fancy dress....how else would I know that the visit to my local Bradford pub was different to any other day of the year.
This year (like every year) my Bradford friends and I had no idea what to wear. In the pub (yes the same one that we are to frequent on the Eve) I made an executive decision to be pirates. I bought two piratey?shirts and was ready to capture the treasure until we went to the fancy dress shop and saw the nun costumes. We are going to be NUNS. Correction, my friends are going to be sexy nuns, I thought this was a little over optimisitic for the monkey so the monkey will infact be a red nun. A nun wearing red - nothing more exciting than that.
I am not bitter about not being a pirate, I can wear the pirate shirts anytime and I was advised by the travel company to wear a headscarf in Morocco (my holiday in January)...headscarf sorted. Details of the night to follow.
BTW: The picture has no significance or connection to this rambling (other than Bradford). I am still facinated by my camera.

You'll have to save your pirate shirts for next year. We really have to be more organised next year and not leave it til the day before new years eve to try find somet. And we need to get everyone to dress up next year!!
Alternatively put them to use on September 19th - International Talk Like A Pirate Day.
As I was away on honeymoon on 19th September, I made it so that the intranet at work automatically put up a picture telling everyone about Talk Like a Pirate Day while I was away.
YARG!
